Our Company was incorporated as “Sahara Maritime Limited” 06th March 2009 in Mumbai, Maharashtra India. Subsequently, the status of our Company was changed to public limited and the name of our Company was changed to “Sahara Maritime Limited” pursuant to a special resolution passed at the Extra-Ordinary General Meeting of our Company. The company is a non-govt Company and is registered at Registrar of Companies, Mumbai.
How we started ?
Our Company was initially incorporated with conducting the work as custom clearance broker and later moved across domains, geographies, and industries to offer a gamut of services for the logistics industry. Our Company is in the business of providing logistics Services offering to our customers, transport management services, freight related services etc. We offer our customers, transport management services, and also freight related services. We provide complete range of services like Freight Forwarding (Sea freight, Warehousing, Transportation, Multimodal Transportation, loading/unloading of items to facilitate our customers with end-to-end solutions and other related value-added services.
We are registered with Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India to act as Multimodal Transport Operator. Multi-Modal Transport Operator’s License enable us to issue a single negotiable multimodal transport document covering multiple modes of transport and position ourselves as an independent player in this field thus strengthening our revenue model. We also undertake work related to regulatory compliance services such as customs clearance and industry-specific solutions.
Our promoters Mr. Sohrab Rustom Sayed and Mr. Nadeem Aboobakar Hira, with over two decades of experience in the logistics industry have been the guiding force behind all the strategic decisions of our Company. He has a vast corporate and entrepreneurial experience and the frontline force behind the company. We cater our services mainly in the domestic market specifically in the state of Maharashtra.
Our customers operate in various sectors across India, including Ready-made Garments, Imitation Jewellery, Automotive Engineering, Food and Agro, Fast-Moving Consumer goods (“FMCG”), Stationery Items, Footwear, Leather Industry, Medical Instruments, Packaging Industry, Etc. We believe our business model enables us to provide solutions that enable our customers to leverage our distribution network which optimizes the performance, cost and efficiency of their supply chains, shortening their lead-time to market resulting in lower inventory costs to the customer.
